Catherland Through My Lens
“Catherland Through My Lens” is the topic of a new exhibit coming to the Opera House gallery on Friday, Jan. 11. Featured local artists are Linda Brinda and Liz Rasser, both avid photographers with Catherland as their subject matter. Brinda, a rancher, lives near the Cather Prairie. Her images capture the splendor of rural life, large- and small-scale; as well as document the ranching lifestyle. She finds photography “therapeutic, challenging and exciting,” as will the viewer of her photographs! Liz Rasser is a lifelong Red Cloud-area resident and passionate advocate of rural living. She runs a corn/soy and cow/calf operation alongside family. Rasser is owner of the noted Starke Round Barn. She enjoys capturing sunsets, windmills and the historic barn through her camera lens. A gallery reception is pending.
