Paddywhack

Paddywhack

7pm @Red Cloud Opera House Auditorium
March 5, 2021

With an array of instrumentation and styles, Paddywhack performs traditional folk music of the British Isles. Billed as Nebraska’s original Irish band, the trio of musicians offers a stunning variety of musical styles, songs, and dance tunes, complemented by rich vocal harmonies. The group’s repertoire includes a cappella sea shanties, Irish pub sing-alongs, evocative ballads, rebel songs, jigs, and reels. Their varied instrumentation includes guitar, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, tin whistle, accordion, hammered dulcimer, mandocello, piano, bodhran (Irish drum) and more. The group appears at the Red Cloud Opera House through the support of the Nebraska Arts Council’s Touring Program and includes Lincoln-area musicians Terry Keefe, David Marsh, and Chris Sayre.

The Nebraska Arts Council, a state agency, has supported this arts event through its matching grants program funded by the Nebraska Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment.
