On the Brix Part of the "Happy Hour" Tour on the Nebraska Passport Program

April 22, 2019

When you make plans to visit Red Cloud and the National Willa Cather Center this year, make sure to add On the Brix Tasting Room to your itinerary. Conveniently located in one of the restored retail bays made possible by the renovation of the Moon Block in 2017, On the Brix specializes in wine, craft beers, and classic cocktails. Owners Ana and Justin Armstrong make everyone feel at home and provide a slice of urban nightlife in small town America.

Recently, On the Brix was selected as a site on the Nebraska Passport Program. If you visit any time between May 1st and September 30, 2019 be sure to get your passport stamped. The purpose of the Nebraska Passport is to help travelers discover Nebraska’s hidden gems. The Nebraska Passport is special because it offers a wide variety of travel adventures, including: museums, parks, restaurants, wineries, retail stores and more.

On the Brix is located at 437 N. Webster St. and opens at 3pm, Thursday through Saturday and is also available for special events. When closed, passport participants can get their books stamped at the Willa Cather Bookstore.

MORE ABOUT THE NEBRASKA PASSPORT PROGRAM:

How the Passport Works

At each Passport stop participants visit they receive a stamp, either in a Nebraska Passport booklet or a digital stamp on the Nebraska Passport app. It is acceptable for an individual to collect stamps in both the booklet and the app and submit all their stamps for prizes. Stamps can be collected from May 1 to September 30. Participants then turn in their stamps and receive prizes. There is no fee to participate in the Nebraska Passport program. There is no purchase necessary to receive Passport stamps at the Passport stops.
