Durfey receives scholarship from the Red Cloud Community Fund
The Red Cloud Community Fund is proud to announce that Gennifer Durfey has received a John & Dorothy Sherwood nontraditional scholarship. Durfey, an assitant teacher in the preschool classroom at The Valley Child Development Center (TVCDC), received a $500 scholarship. Durfey is completing coursework in Early Childhood Education at Central Community College that will enable her to obtain critical skills in her career field and advance in her profession.
The John & Dorothy Sherwood nontraditional scholarship account allows RCCF to help people living and working in the Red Cloud area to pursue the education they need to enhance their skillsets or obtain opportunities. By doing so, RCCF helps improve the earning power of community members and the quality of services available to everyone. Nontraditional scholarships are available year-round and are open to everyone, though certain restrictions may apply.
