The National Willa Cather Center invites community members to an exclusive preview of its newest exhibition at the historic Burlington Depot, All Aboard: West-Bound Trains in American Culture. Be among the first to experience this immersive reinterpretation of the railway that first opened in 1878.

This new permanent exhibit brings the rich legacy of the Burlington to life through a compelling collection of historical photographs, authentic railway artifacts, and engaging hands-on activities. Visitors will explore the profound impact of the railway on westward expansion, its enduring presence in American literature, and its role as a vital conduit for settlement and cultural exchange.

The Burlington Depot is located at 437 W. Welsch Street near the CPI grain elevator.
