Attraction Information

Open to the public

Located just south of Cowles and a few miles northeast of Red Cloud, Elm Creek WMA features excellent turkey and deer habitat. The stream itself is a good fishing spot and one of the few places in Nebraska to fish for trout. According to Nebraska Game & Parks' Daryl Bauer,  "The best time to fish Elm Creek would be spring and fall. That is when the trout stockings occur."
