Lions Club

The Red Cloud Lions Club was chartered on January 21, 1930, and the Club currently has 44 members. The organization meets the second Monday of each month at Knock'em Over Alley  at 7 P.M. This active group is part of the largest and most active service club organization in the world. Their motto is simply, "We Serve."

Red Cloud Lions Club activities:

  • Providing $2200 in scholarships each year to four Red Cloud High School Seniors;
  • Selling fresh Utah peaches each August
  • Hosting pancake feeds with their locally renown rotating pancake grill for worthy causes
  • Assisting with the annual Street Car Days Parade
  • Hosting Bingo and holding a Fly-in Breakfast during the Street Car Days celebration
  • Helping with bloodmobiles
  • Contributing to worthy causes such as youth football uniforms, Red Cloud high school band uniforms, ambulance equipment, cemetery road improvements, and the Christmas Giving Tree
  • Providing over 100 fruit baskets each Christmas
  • Providing medical or emergency/disaster occasion should one arise
  • Collecting eyeglasses and hearing aids for the needy
  • Adopting two miles of Highway 136 east of Red Cloud for trash pickup (assisted by the Red Cloud High School Honor Society.)
  • Taking tickets at Boys & Girls Little League Games
