Kids learn business, entrepreneurship

Big businesses start small and last week, they started at the Biz Kidz camp in Red Cloud.

The 10–13 year old kids learned about becoming entrepreneurs and then started their own business, making anything from baked goods to fishing weights. They worked Wednesday through Friday last week in the Willa Cather Center Retail Bay, and then sold their products yesterday along the sidewalk.

Aliese Hoffman, the assistant director of the University of Nebraska at Kearney's Center for Entrepreneurship and Rural Development, helped teach her class of eleven kids various aspect of starting a business and keeping it running....READ THE FULL STORY
